Job Details:

Job Summary: Responsible for the management, performance and completion of single or multiple high technology programs that require the development (hardware and software), manufacture, and test of electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Assures that contractual obligations are met within assigned budget and schedule. Primary contact with customer on assigned programs that generally have a total value of $15-$50 million. Assignment will generally be to higher risk, higher value programs with responsibility at the total system level. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Has an understanding of Brigade headquarters functions and requirementsOpertaional experience with the Australian Defence ForceHas served as an sub-unit, unit commander or as a staff officer in a Bridage or Division headquatersManages multiple projects in accordance with contracts and policies, procedures and department instructionsunderstand and interprete role requirements for joint contemporary military positions for multi-domain warfare.Ensures that contracts are met in the most efficient and profitable mannerServes as primary contact for customersLeads program execution to meet technical performance within cost and scheduleManages, oversees, monitors and approves all elements of assigned program activities from inception to completion including proposal development, product design, procurement, subcontracting, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and acceptance of productsPlans and directs integration of cross-functional program teams that represents various organizations within the Company.Effectively manages major programs ($10M or greater in sales)Performs program financial management to ensure that profit is earned and cash is collectedPerforms Earned Value management tasksActively performs risk management and pursues risk reduction on assigned programsIdentifies program issues with sufficient lead for timely resolutionWorks to grow the program through contract changes and preplanned product improvementsDevelops proposals for new businessReviews and approves technical approach, feasibility and cost estimatesLeads proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, negotiation and administration of contractsParticipates in marketing new technology, developing potential new business, and responsible for obtaining follow-on business in conjunction with Business DevelopmentMay directly manage a team and as such team management responsibilities (performance management, reviews etc) may be required

Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Essential:

University degree or equivalent in Project Management, Information Systems and Technology Management, Computer Science or other relevant disciplineProject Management Certification in Prince2 or PMBOK

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in delivering projects, including complex programsContemporary military experience with a proven record of delivering training outcomesHold an NV1 clearanceProficient in MS Office applications including a working knowledge of Experience using Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint, Oracle Primavera P6 Scheduling ToolProven ability to manage multiple, high value projects at one time, including associated project teamsProven ability to be a decisive and pro-active leader, with an ability to people manage effectivelyProven ability to input into business development processes
