Hatchery Assistant (Poultry) Night Shift - Maldon

No prior experience is necessary, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process checks and corrective actions as needed.

  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform heavy-duty tasks.

  • Follow WHS and biosecurity protocols to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Report operational or maintenance issues promptly.

  • Assist with tasks to support team efficiency.

  • Participate in weekly toolbox talks to minimize injuries.

  • Assist with other tasks as directed by the Hatchery Manager.

About You

  • Hold a current C Class driver’s licence and own vehicle.

  • Must be available for 4:30PM shifts (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday)

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures accurately.

  • Capable of working both independently and within a team.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Additional Requirement: Due to quarantine procedures, successful applicants must not have live poultry, avian species, or pigs at their place of residence.
