Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking dedicated Technical Assistants to support our Emergency Department (ED) team with critical technical tasks that keep patient care moving smoothly and efficiently. About The Opportunity

As a Technical Assistant, you will be the essential link between patients and clinicians - performing key technical procedures like venepuncture, cannulation, ECG recording, spirometry, respiratory swabs, and more. You will help ensure timely, trusted care under the expert guidance of Senior Medical Officers and Nursing Leaders. In this role you will be doing the following -

Execute clinician-delegated technical tasks to ensure swift and accurate patient care.Prepare and maintain precise electronic medical records to support timely, informed decisions.Assist with simple procedures, while managing essential equipment and supplies.Collaborate effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare teams, communicating clearly and respectfully.Uphold patient confidentiality, consent, and safety protocols while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About You

You have experience in medical terminology, are a student of a registered health profession, or have relevant health-related experience.You communicate effectively using IT, as well as strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.You work well as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collaborative patient care.You manage your time efficiently and thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.You have venepuncture and cannulation skills or a strong willingness to learn and undertake required training.
