Hunter New England Health is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the successful operation and performance of our network infrastructure across the region

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the management, design, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the organisation’s ICT network and associated hardware and software. You’ll ensure operational excellence that supports the critical systems enabling patient to care every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and support the delivery of enterprise-level network infrastructure projects.Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Network Team to ensure high-quality service and issue resolution.Manage network planning, development, and performance across a large, complex environment.Facilitate quality analysis and problem-solving across multiple initiatives-balancing priorities and stakeholder needs.Deliver exceptional customer-focused support and escalate issues appropriately.Collaborate with ICT colleagues and external partners to ensure efficient service delivery across remote and regional sites.

About You

You’re a proactive, technically skilled professional who thrives on challenge and innovation. You’ll bring:

Relevant industry certifications or tertiary qualifications.A strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies (switching, routing, VPNs, firewalls, wireless, etc.).Demonstrated experience in network design, architecture, and project delivery.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.A passion for continuous improvement, collaboration, and driving business outcomes.
