Getting in early for experienced cattle sitters. Location Gatton SE Qld from 22 August to 30 October.

Duties involve looking after 20 Miniature Hereford cows with young calves at foot (min 6 weeks old) and a couple of bulls. Must be able to identify 3 day/pink eye and administer drugs as needed. We have a mobile vet for all other medical issues.

Need to be able to drive tractor and feed out round bales if needed. Also looking after two friendly house dogs and a bunch of chooks. Extensive fruit tree orchard and room to grow veges if you are interested.

Room to park caravan/bus and room in the house for duration of your stay, private room and bathroom, unlimited wifi, ac if you need it. Due to previous issues with sitters, I need to clarify the following. You can't have an off-farm job during your stay, we expect this position to be your focus. There is no off-farm vehicle supplied with the position and no public transport in Gatton, so you need your own vehicle. You must have previous cattle experience as we will not have time to train you before we head away. This is an unpaid position. We look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Sandra and Adrian.
