Qualified Chef Wanted – Cook with Passion at bellaBAR

Love creating great food? Want to work by the water in a relaxed yet vibrant venue? bellaBAR, located in the stunning Darwin Waterfront Precinct, is looking for a talented chef to join our team for the upcoming season—with the opportunity for long-term employment for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in flavour, presentation, and efficiency. We’re searching for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, enjoys working with a team, and wants to be part of a venue where their ideas and creativity are valued.

Why Join Us?

Breathtaking Location – Work with views over the lagoon in a resort-style setting.

Creative Opportunities – Get involved in menu specials and bring your own ideas to the table. Supportive Team – A friendly and professional team that works together, not against each other. Room to Grow – Be part of a venue that’s evolving, with opportunities for input and career progression.

Exciting Atmosphere – A buzzing, popular venue with a mix of locals and visitors.

What We’re Looking For:

Confident & Proactive – You take initiative, stay organized, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Experience & Skill – Minimum 4 years in a commercial kitchen, with strong cooking techniques. Passion for Food – You care about presentation, taste, and making every dish memorable.

Cool Under Pressure – Able to handle busy services and maintain quality.

Clean & Organized – You understand food safety and keep a tidy kitchen.

Great Team Player – Works well with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Food Safety Certification – Required for the role.

What We Offer:

• Salary $65,000 - $80,000 based on Restaurant Industry Award 2025 Standards.

• Full-Time position: Salary is based on a minimum of 38 hours per week, with holiday and personal leave accrued pro-rata. Salary will be determined by the level of experience.

Apply now with your resume and tell us why you’d be a great fit!

You’ll have the chance to showcase your talent, bring new ideas to the table, and help shape an evolving menu. In return, we offer a dynamic work environment, competitive pay, and the chance to cook in one of Darwin’s most scenic locations.
