Our modern offices are ergonomic, collaborative, and close to public transport.About the RoleAs a Senior Accountant in our Hospitality division, you’ll play a key role in preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns, supporting budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and scenario planning, and delivering proactive client service. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of hospitality clients, gaining exposure to a variety of business models and operational structures.A central focus of this role is mentoring and developing junior team members. You’ll provide guidance, coaching, and feedback, helping others grow their technical and professional skills, and contributing to the uplift of team capability within a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality environment.Key responsibilities include:Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS/IAS for a range of hospitality clientsSupporting budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and scenario planning (seasonality, events, roster impacts)Assisting managers/partners with advisory projects and client meetings; capturing actions and maintaining accurate job progression in workflow systemsPreparing and reviewing workpapers and standard financial statements from client records in line with firm standards; applying analytical review procedures (e.g., ratio analysis)Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies in workflow and ways of workingSupporting workflow management by coordinating task allocation, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of outcomesActively mentoring, coaching, and developing junior staff, supporting their growth and building team capabilityManaging expectations through clear, timely communication; escalating issues early and delivering to agreed timeframes and budgetsAbout YouYou’re a motivated professional with:Relevant bachelor’s degree and completion of the CA (Chartered Accountant) programMinimum 4–5 years practical experience in public accounting or business services, with exposure to a broad range of clients and complex mattersDemonstrated experience in client relationship management and delivery of high-quality outcomesAdvanced knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation (income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, land tax), and compliance requirementsProficiency with accounting/tax software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft 365Strong data analysis and analytical review skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to audience; maintains composure under pressureAbility and passion for mentoring, coaching, and providing feedback to junior team members; supports team outcomes and builds trustDemonstrated ability to embrace and adapt to change; proactive, curious, and problem-solving mindsetAlways maintains confidentiality and professional ethicsStrong time management and prioritisation skills; able to work independently and as part of a teamA strong sense of engagement with our core valuesHow to ApplyPlease click "Apply" to submit your CV along with a concise cover letter detailing your interest in the role and how your experience aligns with the position requirements.
