The opportunity

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and interested in working behind the scenes of wine production?
We’re looking for a Winery Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Burge Barossa in Tanunda.

This role is ideal for someone seeking casual work, with hours that can be suited to school hours. You’ll play an important role supporting our winemaking and production teams by ensuring accurate testing, record keeping, and laboratory support.

Quality and precision are at the core of everything we do, and this role is perfect for someone who enjoys structured work, consistency, and contributing to high standards.

The Role

As a Winery Laboratory Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with routine winery laboratory testing

• Sample preparation and basic analysis

• Accurate data entry, record keeping, and reporting

• Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and organisation

• Supporting the winemaking and production teams as required

• Following quality, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy and organisation skills

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Comfortable following procedures and maintaining consistency

• A positive team player with a willingness to learn

• Confident with basic computer and data entry tasks
