About the
Role

 Our Payroll Team plays a vital role in delivering accurate
and reliable payroll and human resource services to the employees
and councillors of Townsville City Council who keep our city
moving.
We
process payroll weekly , governed by strict timeframes and
deadlines, so attention to detail and efficiency are essential. In
this role, you’ll be at the heart of operations,
communicating daily with a diverse and dynamic workforce, providing
clear and accurate information and offering trusted advice and
support.Â

About
You
Our
ideal applicant will have:
- Certificate IV
in Payroll Administration or equivalent competency. - Advanced
knowledge of payroll systems, ideally CHRIS21, and/or UKG
Ready, plus related administrative business
systems. - Strong,
conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed
interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the
ability to engage confidently across a varied workforce
