URGENT Female Support Worker – Wangaratta, VIC (NDIS)

Immediate Start | Short-Term Intensive Support | Potential Ongoing Work

Duty Care Services is urgently seeking a caring and reliable Female Support Worker to support an NDIS participant living in Wangaratta, VIC.

Due to a current crisis and plan transition, the participant requires around-the-clock support (24/7) for the next 1–2 weeks, with the potential for ongoing regular shifts depending on needs and funding.

This role is about more than just providing support — it’s about stability, trust, and compassionate care during a difficult time.

Support may include:

• Personal care and assistance with daily living
• Emotional support and companionship (trauma-informed approach)
• Medication prompting and support
• Light domestic tasks
• Community access and transport
• Overnight and extended shifts as part of a rotating roster

Shifts may be long (8–12 hours) and include day, evening, and overnight support.

Essential Requirements

You must have:

• Experience in disability support, SIL, or aged care
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid & CPR
• National Police Check
• Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (strongly preferred)
• Access to a smartphone with internet
• A calm, patient, and respectful approach

Additional Requirements

• Ability to maintain all registrations and qualifications
• Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement
• Capacity to commit to urgent and short-notice shifts
