Broiler Field Service Person

We are seeking an experienced and pro-active Field Service person to join our Livestock team. The office is based at Greystanes NSW, however this role requires predominately farm based servicing and travel. 

As part of the Farming team, you will provide technical advice, compliance monitoring, and general husbandry support across all of our farms located across various areas of Greater Sydney and the Central Coast. You will be working within a team of service people, with the opportunity to develop your role in-line with your interests. 

Reporting to the Farming Manager, this role will see you responsible for, but not limited to:

• Administration of standards as set out in Company broiler growing agreements and manuals, RSPCA Standards and all other relevant government legislation;

• Liaise with the contract broiler farms, hatchery, feed mill, feed nutritionist, consultant veterinarian, and all livestock-associated operations;

• Represent the company on livestock-related matters including the RSPCA, food authority, and other relevant organizations

• Monitoring and reporting of farm performance

• Health status of flocks and identification of any health challenges

• Compliance of farms with all relevant organizations including RSPCA and food authority

• Provide technical advice on all aspects of poultry broiler production.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant experience within the broiler industry, with professional qualifications, will be highly regarded but not essential

• This role is a field service role so applicants must hold a valid driving license

• Strong communication skills (written/verbal) at all levels

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work well within a team environment as well as independently

• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude

This is the ideal role for someone who likes to be hands-on, who enjoys being a people person,  and will be able to use their communication skills to drive the highest Bird Welfare, husbandry improvements, and overall farm performance across all our contract sites.
