About the role

GP HVAC Group is seeking a driven and customer-focused Counter Sales professional to join our team in Pakenham, VIC. This full-time role will see you providing exceptional service and support to our valued trade customers in the gas and HVAC supply industry.

What you'll be doing

• Providing friendly and knowledgeable counter sales support to customers, answering queries and assisting with product selection and purchases

• Maintaining inventory and stock levels, and ensuring a well-organised and presentable counter and showroom

• Assisting with the processing of customer orders, invoicing, and general administration duties

• Developing strong relationships with customers and seeking opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell relevant products and services

• Collaborating with the wider sales team to ensure customer needs are met

• Staying up-to-date with product knowledge and industry developments

What we're looking for

• At least 2-3 years' experience in a counter sales or customer service role, ideally within the gas, HVAC, plumbing or similar trade supplies industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide outstanding customer service

• Strong product knowledge and the capacity to quickly learn about new products and solutions

• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in using inventory management and point-of-sale systems

• A positive, can-do attitude
