About the
Role
This
position works with customers and stakeholders to research, collate
and validate financial and non-financial data pertaining to an
insurance matter or for the preparation of reports.
Accountable to the
General Manager Commercial and Financial Services, the Insurance
Administration Officer will contribute to the provision of an
effective insurance portfolio for Townsville City Council by
working collaboratively with Council’s internal asset
custodians, external insurers, members of the public and suppliers
to collate documentation relevant for insurance
claims.Â

What
you’ll do:
- Complete
insurance-related tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and a strong
customer focus. - Collaborate
with customers and stakeholders to research, gather, and
validate financial and non-financial data for insurance matters
and reporting. - Maintain
accurate records of decisions, recommendations, and resolutions
in line with Council standards. - Respond
promptly to insurance enquiries and correspondence, preparing
professional communications that reflect Council policies and
aim to resolve issues effectively.
