About the Role

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Parts Interpreter will actively facilitate sales through face-to-face, phone, and online channels. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure seamless service delivery and efficient branch operations.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Cairns, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counter, telephone, and online sales

  • Interpreting parts and providing technical product advice

  • Quoting customers and promoting sales catalogues and monthly flyers

  • Picking, processing, and dispatching customer orders

  • Inward and outward goods handling

  • Stock control, including stock taking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean workspace

  • Managing stock purchases, allocation, and sales ownership

  • Ensuring every customer is serviced to their individual requirements

  • Contributing positively to a collaborative and customer-focused team environment

Skills & Experience

Preferred (but not essential):

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Intermediate understanding of motor vehicle components

  • General understanding of metric and imperial conversions

  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Proven customer service experience, ideally in a trade or parts environment
