Allied Bearings (Bearing Wholesalers) Cairns is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Parts Interpreter to join our tight-knit, experienced team. Bearing Wholesalers (BW) Cairns, trading as Allied Bearings, is a trade specialist reseller of bearing and driveline components. We supply an extensive range of products, including bearings, power transmission components, hubs, CV shafts, tools, and workshop consumables.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Parts Interpreter will actively facilitate sales through face-to-face, phone, and online channels. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure seamless service delivery and efficient branch operations.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Cairns, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Counter, telephone, and online sales

• Interpreting parts and providing technical product advice

• Quoting customers and promoting sales catalogues and monthly flyers

• Picking, processing, and dispatching customer orders

• Inward and outward goods handling

• Stock control, including stock taking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean workspace

• Managing stock purchases, allocation, and sales ownership

• Ensuring every customer is serviced to their individual requirements

• Contributing positively to a collaborative and customer-focused team environment

Skills & Experience

Preferred (but not essential):

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Intermediate understanding of motor vehicle components

• General understanding of metric and imperial conversions

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Proven customer service experience, ideally in a trade or parts environment
