Contractor Rehabilitation Counsellor – Flexible Locations

We’re seeking experienced Contractor Rehabilitation Counsellors to deliver high-quality vocational rehabilitation services across a range of schemes including workers’ compensation, CTP, and government-funded programs across the following regions:

• Newcastle

• Coffs Harbour

• Port Macquarie

• Lismore

• Dubbo

About the opportunity:

As a contractor, you’ll enjoy autonomy and flexibility while working with a supportive multidisciplinary team. You’ll provide tailored rehabilitation services to clients experiencing injury, illness, or disability—helping them achieve sustainable return-to-work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct vocational and psychosocial assessmentsDevelop and implement individualised return-to-work plansProvide counselling and support for physical and psychological injuries Liaise with employers, insurers, and health professionalsMaintain accurate case notes and meet compliance standardsWhat You’ll Bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work or PsychologyFull registration with ASORC, AASW or APHRAConsiderable experience working in occupational rehabilitation and proven track record of contracting with other clients.Strong communication and case management skillsAbility to work independently and manage your own caseloadFull driver's licence and own vehicleWhat We Offer:
