About the team:
The Strategic Procurement team supports key divisions to maximise resources, drive best value outcomes, leverage statewide buying power, and strengthen supplier performance — while ensuring compliance with relevant government procurement policy.

Key responsibilities In this role, you will:
- Provide expert procurement and commercial advice to senior leaders
- Lead sourcing and demand management initiatives to improve commercial outcomes
- Undertake negotiation and issue resolution with suppliers, including supply risk mitigation
- Support annual procurement planning aligned to divisional and organisational priorities
- Prepare high-quality documentation including briefing notes and executive papers
- Use data analysis to identify savings opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Build project plans, manage timelines, report progress and manage risk
- Strengthen stakeholder partnerships across operational areas and finance teams
- Drive procurement value creation and supplier performance outcomes organisation-wide
What we’re looking for:
- Strong procurement experience (government experience highly regarded)
- Confidence across sourcing + contract management
- Ability to influence and advise executive-level stakeholders
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
- A professional and collaborative approach aligned with public sector values
