About the role

We are seeking an experienced or new graduate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Haven Occupational Therapy in Gold Coast, Queensland. This full-time role will involve providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our diverse clientele in the Gold Coast region, as well as remotely at home. You will play a key part in helping our clients achieve their health and wellbeing goals.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional abilities, goals, and needs

  2. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs

  3. Provide hands-on therapy interventions, such as task-oriented training, sensory integration, and adaptive equipment prescription

  4. Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care

  5. Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed

  6. Maintain detailed client records and documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards

  7. Participate in team meetings, in-service training, and other professional development activities

  8. Provide functional capacity and other related reports

  9. Complete and support parents by implementing a parent coaching model

  10. Work within a dynamic team that includes collaborating with allied health assistants

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

  2. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  3. Experience in a clinical occupational therapy role, preferably in a community or private practice setting

  4. New graduates with relevant clinical placements are welcome to apply

  5. Strong and/or developing clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based intervention

  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, client-centred environment

  8. Proficient in the use of digital technologies and electronic client management systems

  9. Australian citizenship is required for this position

  10. Blue card, yellow card and police check
