Provide high level evidence based clinical psychology services within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation planning for patients through the application of evidence-based treatment.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide high level clinical advice to consumers and their families
  • Apply professional leadership and judgement to a complex clinical psychology caseload
  • Initiate and contribute to formal clinical research activities
  • Provide professional support to students from postgraduate clinical training programs.

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Psychology
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent part time (hrs negotiable)
  • Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.56 per hour

The Psychology Service provides both inpatient and outpatient support to patients attending hospital with physical health and comorbid psychological presentations. The Psychology Service team work within and alongside interdisciplinary teams, providing a holistic focus on patient care and management across the patient's hospital and discharge journey.
