As a result of strong growth, we have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Assembly & Dispatch Team Member to take on a role at our modern engineering workshop at Molendinar.
About the role
This is an important, hands-on role for the business, responsible for picking, assembling job packs, packing and dispatching customer orders in full and on time. Our customer base is varied so no two days are the same – this could be your opportunity break away from a monotonous job and take on a role that uses your hands on skills along with your strong attention to detail and focus on productivity. A current forklift licence (HRW licence) is essential for this job, along with confidence in your ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, your responsibilities would include:

Consolidation of completed job packs and completion of pre-pack checks, including careful and accurate compilation of documentation.

Preparation of parts to be dispatched to sub-contract services (such as galvanising and powder coating).

Ensuring all parts are appropriately packaged for safe and undamaged transit to customers.

Regular forklift operation to load jobs onto customer and third-party logistics trucks, trailers and other vehicles.

Assisting the team in maintaining a 95% or better DIFOT.

Assisting with the recording and distributing of all incoming raw materials and parts arriving into the business.

Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping in support of 5S Principles.

Liaising with sales, purchasing, production and operational staff as required.

Supporting the team with ensuring zero customer complaints due to quantity, quality packing issues.
About you

The successful applicant is likely to be someone who:

Has experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to steel processing

Is an excellent forklift operator with a current and valid Forklift (HRW) licence

Thrives in a hands-on role – happy to “get their hands dirty”

Is comfortable with varied products and juggling a busy schedule

Has a positive outlook and strong work ethic

Can demonstrate excellent communication skills and time management

Prides themselves on their attention to detail and accuracy – able to read and interpret technical information

Has sound computer skills and ideally some experience with MRP software
