About the role

The Trade and Liaison Officer (Plant Biosecurity) supports the development and maintenance of domestic plant and plant product import requirements, ensuring compliance through liaison with importers, exporters, biosecurity operations, and government committees. Facilitate market access and acting as an authorised officer under the Biosecurity Act 2019.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a science or trade related discipline.
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
