Administration Assistant/Receptionist

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Services team! In this role, you will provide administrative support to all departments across the Centre, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities.

  • Welcoming and greeting clients and visitors to our administration
  • Managing incoming calls and emails, directing enquiries to the appropriate department
  • Scheduling various committee meetings including the distribution of agendas, taking of minutes and monitoring of action plans
  • Provide a high level of administrative support, including data entry, word processing, reporting and general administrative tasks across a range of departments including Finance, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Culinary Services and Event operations
  • Work as part of a team to deliver continuous improvement and ad hoc tasks and projects

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment
  • Ability to prioritise tasks & meet deadlines
  • Flexibility of work hours, including start and finish times and the ability to work occasional weekends with advanced notice
  • Competent to proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)
  • Excellent communication skills. Professional & respectful approach when interacting with clients and tea members
  • Excellent personal presentation and grooming
  • Willingness to work as a team member
  • You will be committed to living and working in Cairns long term
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
