About the role

Dixon Accountants is seeking an experienced Accountant for a permanent part-time leading to a full-time role. In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and taxation services to our diverse client base. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' tax affairs are managed efficiently and compliantly.

What you'll be doing

• Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) Administration

• Preparing and lodging tax returns for individuals and businesses

• Providing tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimise their tax obligations

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and other accounting reports

• Conducting tax research and staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation

• Collaborating with clients to understand their unique financial and tax requirements

• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

What we're looking for

• Someone with a well rounded skill set

• Degree in Accounting or a related field, completed or currently completing CA, CPA, IPA or equivelent preferred

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a professional Accountant

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws and compliance requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and tax preparation tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
