We successfully launched our online business in the Australian market in 2018, with a view to expanding to other countries in the future. 

Purely operating as an online platform, our product is available across desktop, mobile and app, enabling fast, safe and secure transactions for our players anytime.  Our apps are available in Google Play and Apple Store.

The primary focus of this role involves developing, deploying and maintaining high-impact Power BI dashboards and reports that influence decisions and inspire action. This role involves working closely with data professionals and business stakeholders to translate complex data and marketing objectives into intuitive, user-friendly visualisations.

This role is more than just the enjoyment of building reports. You will have a profound understanding of data visualisation principles and deep-rooted skills and experience behind the art and science of data storytelling that provides compelling narrative and outcomes that drive actionable insights.

This is a standout opportunity for a Business Intelligence professional to contribute to a dynamic, rapidly growing business in a digital data-driven environment.

This is a permanent full-time role, to be carried out in our Robina office.  The successful candidate will work four days per week in our Robina office and from home one day per week.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define and prioritise analytical objectives

  • Use data visualisation and storytelling techniques to create insightful, dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports that engage users, highlight key findings and help inform decisions based on data

  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), incorporating feedback to enhance reporting solutions

  • Train and support business users in the effective use of Power BI dashboards and reports

  • Enhance the user experience using bookmarks, visual headers and built-in assistance

  • Drive automation and consistency across report building

  • Develop, test and optimise DAX-based calculated measures

  • Assist data warehouse new-feature testing

  • Identify and scope data warehousing development opportunities

  • Build and maintain relevant data source tables, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely updates

  • Manage processes within Power BI Service including app updates, data alerts, subscriptions, etc.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security and governance in a regulated environment

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analytics, reporting or business intelligence, working for a digital business-to-consumer brand, which will have exposed you to digital marketing channels, platforms, attribution challenges and effective measurement

  • Minimum 2 years hands-on Power BI experience.  Power BI accreditation is recommended to succeed in this role

  • Intricate knowledge of Power BI Visuals, their array of features and advanced settings

  • You must be able to demonstrate an extensive understanding of data visualisation principles and best practices

  • You will have the ability to call out signals hidden in the noise, explain why they matter and guide stakeholders with clear, actionable insights

  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimise report performance

  • An understanding of dimensional data modelling principles

  • DAX - intermediate or above with the ability to optimise and format expressions

  • Working knowledge of Power Query to shape, transform and cleanse datasets

  • Excel – intermediate or above

  • Clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills

  • Comfortable working within the gambling industry
