About us:

Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult services including the Acute Care Team and inpatient facilities. In addition, there is an Adult Step Up, Step Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.

The Acute Care Services provides a specialised mental health service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for consumers of the Rockhampton and broader Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services areas.

About the role:

The Mental Health Clinician uses discipline specific clinical skills to deliver high quality specialist mental health care to consumers with mental illness or serious mental health problems and their families, in keeping with professional national and state requirements.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, external referral sources, consumers and carers to promote consumer focus and involvement. Assesses plans, implements and evaluates comprehensive care for consumers in accordance with professional standards and best practice. Provide a clinical service to consumers, families and carers and the wider community using evidence- based practice, to ensure a high standard of mental health care.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:

An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution17.5% leave loading
