This is a senior, in-house performance marketing role for someone who wants full ownership of Facebook and Google Ads and is comfortable being accountable for real outcomes — appointments, sales, and installs.

About Us
Solar Surge Australia is a fast-growing solar and battery company with its own electrical contractor licence and in-house installation teams.
We control the full process — from lead generation and sales through to installation and aftercare.
That means faster turnaround, tighter feedback loops, higher accountability, and no finger-pointing between sales and installs.
We already run multiple lead channels (door-to-door and call centre).
Now we’re building paid media as a core acquisition engine, properly and in-house.
About the Role
You will own paid media end-to-end and be responsible for turning ad spend into consistent, scalable appointment volume that converts into installs.
This role sits inside the business, working closely with sales and operations.
You will control a significant monthly ad budget and be trusted to scale it intelligently.
This role is on-site and requires full focus on Solar Surge Australia.
What You’ll Be Responsible For

Owning Facebook (Meta) and Google Ads end-to-end

Campaign structure, targeting, budgets, scaling and kill decisions

Managing and pacing a large monthly ad spend

Driving appointment consistency and quality (not just lead volume)

Directing ad creative:

defining angles
-
writing hooks and scripts

specifying exactly what content needs to be recorded

Turning raw footage into ads (editing can be outsourced — performance ownership stays with you)

Analysing suburb-by-suburb and area-level performance

Working closely with sales to understand:

show rates

no-sale reasons

conversion blockers

Using paid media to open and validate new areas before labour deployment
What You Will NOT Be Doing

Running organic social media
-
Posting install photos for engagement

Managing comments or DMs
-
Creating brand content “for vibes”

Freelancing or working for other clients
This role is about performance, not posting.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience running Facebook and Google Ads at meaningful spend

Background in:

or high-ticket local services

Strong understanding of:

scaling without quality drop

Ability to direct creative (you do not need to be a videographer)

What You’ll Get
