 Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, horizontal borers, surface grinders and radial drills.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and tolerances

Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials

Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments

Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and safe

Work independently and collaborate with the workshop foreman to meet production deadlines
What do we need from you?

Valid and relevant trade qualifications, certificates and licenses

Current drivers' license with reliable transport

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

The ability to complete ongoing physically demanding tasks

A strong commitment to health and safety

Ability to work well with small crews

Proven experience as a manual machinist

Strong knowledge of manual machining processes and tooling

Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools accurately

High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to work safely and follow shop procedures
