One of Australia’s largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 roster pattern roster arrangement, with residential, FIFO (from Adelaide) or DIDO options available.

The role will involve being an active team member, providing support to the Mobile Fleet Maintenance work teams with Tool Store support. You will adhere to operating requirements and strive for the safe achievement of individual, team and site objectives.

In This Role You Will

Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every dayManage day-to-day tooling requirements for maintenance teamsConduct stocktakes of tools and consumables, ensuring accurate levels are maintainedComplete Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for repairable tooling, consumables, and replacementsTrack and manage repairable tooling, including sending items offsite for repair and monitoring returnsUtilise the Mobile Object Tracking System (MOTS) for issuing tools, receival, tracking, and maintaining inventory accuracyMaintain high standards of tool store organisation, cleanliness, and complianceRequest and email supplier quotes, follow up pricing, and assist with procurement communicationsSupport workshop duties as required, including basic housekeeping, assisting trades, and preparing tools/equipmentAssist with receival of deliveries, organising storage, and updating internal systemsEnsure all activities meet site safety and procedural requirementsWork independently, prioritising tasks and making decisions to keep the tool store running efficiently

About You

Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s wayExperience in a tool store, workshop, warehouse, or trade assistant environment (advantageous)Solid understanding of tooling, mechanical equipment, and consumables Ability to use computer systems confidently, including Email (Microsoft Outlook or similar), Basic Excel/WordProcurement or inventory systems experience (spreadsheets)Ability to email suppliers for quotes, follow up leads, and assist with procurement documentationWell-developed organisational skills with high attention to detailExcellent communication and customer service skills
