FIFO Fire Technician – Groote Eylandt (1 Week On / 1 Week Off)

Are you a skilled Fire Technician looking for an exciting FIFO role with incredible lifestyle balance? This is an opportunity to join Chubb Fire & Security, working one week on / one week off to support our major client on Groote Eylandt - GEMCO Sth32, while enjoying stability, training, and progression with a national market leader.

The Role

Based out of our Darwin Fire Division, you will fly from Darwin to Groote Eylandt on a 7/7 FIFO roster. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and supporting fire protection assets across the site, ensuring high reliability, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Servicing, testing and maintaining fire protection assets to Chubb standards of safety, quality and delivery. Completing scheduled maintenance, defect remediation and upgrade works. Providing excellent customer service and technical support to our client on site. Completing all documentation via the GEMCO Sth32 internal reporting system Working closely with Darwin Fire Management to ensure seamless reporting, parts management and workflow planning.

Systems You Will Work On (highlighted For Editing)

Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (e.g., Ampac)

Sprinkler & Deluge Systems

Gaseous Suppression Systems (e.g., Inergen / FM200)

Fire Pump Sets

VESDA / Aspiration Systems

To Be Successful

While experience in the Fire industry is highly regarded, it isn’t essential. If you are motivated, service-driven and eager to grow your career, we will support you through full training.

You Will Need

Previous fire industry experience (preferred but not essential). A Certificate II, Cert III or FPAS in Fire Protection (or willingness to obtain). Current driver’s licence White Card. Ability to work FIFO on a 7/7 roster. Able to pass a Police Check and Medical Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude. Good time management and independence while working remotely. Self-motivated, reliable and committed to safety at all times.
