About the role

Adelaide Hills Education Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths Teacher/Tutor to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high school students in the Adelaide Hills, supporting them with their Maths studies.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing a high level of academic teaching to assist students in improving their Maths skills and confidence

2. Developing personalised learning plans to cater to each student's individual needs and learning style

3. Delivering individualised programmes in small group Maths tutoring sessions to high school students, Years 7-11.

4. Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods as needed

5. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning

6. Maintaining accurate records and providing feedback on student progress

What we're looking for

1. Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting

2. A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required

3. Strong knowledge of the high school Australian Maths curriculum and the ability to teach a range of Maths topics

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues

5. Show initiative and flexibility, work co-operatively

6. Adaptability and creativity in tailoring your teaching approach to individual student needs

7. Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping students succeed

8. Relevant teaching qualifications and Working With Children Check
