Twisted Blade Barbers is located in Port Kennedy and opened in 2024. We are looking for an additional casual part-time barber to work alongside our small team at a busy shopping centre. There is potential for this to become a full-time position down the line.

Saturday availability is essential (9am - 1.30pm)

You will be primarily responsible for directly assisting clients with daily duties including:

• assess hair and scalp health and recommend treatments and products
• consult with clients and advise hairstyle and hair treatment options
• cut and style hair to client’s specifications
• maintain salon sanitation and health standards, including cleaning and disinfecting workstations
• trim and groom clients’ facial hair with combs, razors, scissors and clippers
• process client payments

The right candidate should have:

• at least 5 years experience in the role
• confidence and experience in using a razor on the face and neck
• time management skills to complete client services in an efficient and timely manner
• technical knowledge and skill for hair to assist clients with a variety of hair types and needs
• interpersonal skills to connect with clients, building long term relationships and client loyalty
• aesthetic creativity to create unique styles tailored to client-specific visions
• communication skills to listen and understand client requests, as well as discuss various options and decisions before, during and after services
• customer service skills as necessary for performing transactions, scheduling appointments and following up with clients
• physical abilities that allow them to stand for long periods and perform precise cuts

We are looking for local staff only, international applicants asking for a visa will not be considered.

Pay: From $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 13 – 38 per week
