The Role

As an EVET Educator, you will be responsible for providing engaging and effective teaching and assessment of the HLT33021 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance.

Commencing in February 2026, you will deliver weekly learning content and assessment guidance sessions in a classroom environment during the school terms, based at schools in Queanbeyan and Monaro. Their learners commence Year 11 in February 2026 and complete this course as part of their HSC studies.

This position could be permanent employment with job security. Work type: Full-time or part-time (up to 3 days per week). Must be available to work Wednesdays. Flexible hybrid working: work from home when not working at schools. Appointment commencing: They are looking to commence in January 2026. Salary: The approximate salary range for this role is $89,000 FTE per annum plus super. Dependent on the level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver face-to-face training sessions
  • Assess student work in accordance with assessment guidelines
  • Initiate contact with at-risk students regularly to review progress and assist them in overcoming barriers to completion
  • Develop, implement and monitor Learning Support Plans for students with diverse needs
  • Work with the Program Manager and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of training and assessment strategies

The Successful Candidate:

  • Current TAE40116 Cert IV in Training and Assessment or a higher level
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) (desirable)
  • Vocational qualifications and/or a tertiary degree relevant to the allied health discipline
  • Current Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
  • Experience in the delivery and assessment of VET programs to individuals and groups
  • Current industry experience working in an allied health setting
  • Competency in using Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle and Axcelerate) and video conferencing or virtual classroom systems (such as Zoom)
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks
