The Role

The Assistant Technical Airworthiness Compliance Manager (ATACM) works within a small team to provide direct auditing and quality system support to the HQ 16 Avn Bde Technical Airworthiness Compliance Managers (TACM). Work undertaken by the ATACM, assures the ongoing sustainability of the 16th Aviation Brigade Maintenance Organisation certification under Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) Part 145. Primary tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and conduct of scheduled and random audits and sampling to assure conformance
  • General and ongoing surveillance of the maintenance venue to further assure conformance to procedures and safety requirements.
  • Assisting key maintenance staff regarding the development and continual improvement of internal procedures/processes.
  • Knowledge requirements include: Quality System principles, as related to aviation maintenance regulation, DASR 145, M and 66 compliance requirements, understanding of the Maintenance Organisation and exposition and associated instructions.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an individual with the following experience, training and attributes:

  • Possessing relevant aviation technical experience in the aviation maintenance environment or similar discipline.
  • Relevant qualifications and understanding relating to Quality System auditing requirements and principles.
  • An ability to communicate effectively and interact with the internal workforce and key staff as may be required and as appropriate.

Eligibility

Security Clearance: 

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
