The Inventory and Support officer is responsible for supporting retail operations through accurate inventory control, stock management and administrative support to in store locations.

This role works collaboratively with Retail Store Supervisors and Retail Buyer to ensure that stock levels in store meet the appropriate levels, and that they remain full. The position also assists with ensuring that inventory records are accurate and that Retail Staff are supported with operational and logistical needs, in an effort to promote positive customer experience.

This role required a high level of Customer Service, Critical Thinking and Physical fitness.

Duties include:

  • Stock and replenish products on shelves in store, based upon sales volume and store needs.
  • Responsible for liaising between Retail Stores and the Retail Buyer to ensure a full range of product availability, including product variations and sizes.
  • Assist with merchandise preparation, including stock allocation and transfers of inventory between locations.
  • Prepare stock for seasonal changes, sales events, special events in collaboration with retail store staff.
  • Assist the Warehouse team with coordinating stock movements between storage areas and retail stores within the Zoo, ensuring that any products that require fast-tracking are filled.
  • Conduct regular stock assessments, identifying discrepancies, shortages and damages, ensuring all concerns are reported to the Retail 2IC.
  • Continually monitor stock and inventory levels, including low-stock or over-stock of particular items, raising any opportunities for sales to the Retail Management team.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to the Online Retail Store, by ensuring adequate online sales items are located at the packing bay.
  • Provide in-store customer service and sales advice to guests, whilst in on-display locations.

Essential Criteria:

  • Full availability including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
  • Drivers License (Manual is preferred)
  • Great time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience and knowledge using the Microsoft suite (Eg; Excel, Word)
