Job Description/Duties
Below are the tasks expected for you to carry out during shifts.
- Preparing and serving food and drinks of the highest quality.
- Interacting and taking orders from customers, and advising on daily specials or allergens.
- Operating a point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine. (Including cash handling).
- Clearing up used dishes and cutlery from tables and wiping them down, ready to reset.
- Taking dirty plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery to the cleaning area for washing.
- Washing plates, cutlery and utensils.
- Cleaning coffee grinders, coffee machines, blenders and other equipment.
- Refilling food displays.
- Packing away stock on arrival (FIFO).
- Ensure all service stations are continually stocked and prepared for service.
- Ensure knowledge and practice of food safety techniques, storage and labelling at all times.
- Cleaning and maintaining service area to food safety standards.
- Emptying bins when necessary.
- Maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Actively promote health and safety, and take reasonably practicable steps to control
risks, ensuring a safe workplace for visitors, staff and volunteers.
- Reporting to management when stock is running low / notice any faulty equipment.

Pay: $33.39 – $47.00 per hour
