Looking to broaden your horizons while advancing your career in some of Australia’s most stunning locations? Marina Realty is seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Caretaker to oversee the daily operations of several residential properties and manage the day-to-day operations.

About the Role

Marina Realty values people first. As the Caretaker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of buildings and properties at Mackay Marina. The skills and talents you bring will play a critical role in maintaining high standards and maximising performance. As our Building Caretaker, you'll work closely with the caretaking team to ensure buildings are safe, compliant, well-presented, and professionally managed.

You'll be trusted to manage your time, engage confidently with committees, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

What Your Days Might Look Like

· This position oversees 9 residential buildings as a Caretaker

· Keeping track of maintenance issues, building repairs, incidents, by-law breaches, equipment, safety and requests for work

· Daily property walks to fast-track attention to Body Corporate or action as required

· Engaging with contractors and owners

· Maintaining records, submitting quotes, processing invoices, liaising with third-party service providers and Strata Managers

· Monitor by-laws, compliance, and legislation changes

· Prepare monthly reports for Body Corporate and attend meetings as required

· Schedule, train, and support caretaking staff, ensuring duties are completed on time and within scope.

What You’ll Bring

· Experience in residential facility management, building management, or caretaking oversight

· Good working knowledge of Body Corporates

· MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills

· Experience preferred with Console property management system

· Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment

· Strong communication and reporting skills

· The ability to manage contractors and caretaking teams

· Good systems and time management discipline
