Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of projects in Townsville. This role is primarily office-based (90%) and plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction workflows. You will manage the entire project lifecycle using a fully integrated project management system Buildertrend and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing monthly WIP reports and handling other project-related financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop detailed project plans for each stage of the project.
  2. Coordinate projects to align with program, budget and quality objectives
  3. Monitor progress to mitigate risks, maximize benefits, and control costs.
  4. Achieve financial goals by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Perform accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects and variations.
  6. Conduct ongoing analysis of all cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Plan and monitor project budgets to ensure alignment with forecasts and targets.

Critical Skills & Attributes

  1. Qualification in Project management.
  2. Experience in construction project management.
  3. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  4. Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle, tools, and techniques.
  5. Advanced computer skills, particularly in project management software and spreadsheets.
  6. Experience in Buildertrend construction management software would be highly advantageous
