Ruddy Racing, a racing and pre-training stable in Scone, is seeking motivated and reliable Stablehand / Ground Staff to join our professional, friendly team. We take pride in our high standards of horse care and are looking for people who share that passion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily stable duties including box and yard cleaning, and replacement of bedding.
• Tacking up and hosing down horses for track riders.
• Preparation of feeds and feeding horses.
• Rugging and un-rugging horses.
• Taking temperatures.
• Loading and unloading horses from truck and float.
• Putting horses on and taking horses off walker.
• Swimming horses in aquaciser.
• Administering treatments.
• General yard maintenance and ensuring a safe, clean environment for the horses and staff.

Requirements:

• Previous experience handling horses (racing experience is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a fast-paced team.
• A positive attitude and a genuine love for horses.

Positions & Pay:

• Full Time and Casual positions available
