A leading ASX-listed organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their Cairns operations. This is a high-impact role combining strategic influence, operational oversight, and hands-on commercial accounting, offering a unique opportunity to shape performance across multiple sites.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, you will:

• Partner with operational leaders to drive commercial strategies and improve profitability.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and insights to inform decision-making.
• Lead, develop, and mentor regional finance and accounting teams, driving process improvement and consistency.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements.
• Be hands-on in financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and audits.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven commercial accounting experience within a multi-site or complex organisation.
• Strong operational and strategic leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams, improving processes, and implementing best-practice financial operations.
• CPA/CA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
