Are you a 3rd year apprentice or a fully qualified Automotive Technician looking for a change?

A1 Precision Automotive is a family owned and operated mechanical repair business, established for over 30 years in Katoomba, NSW. We are a Repco Authorised Service Centre offering a wide range of services including standard servicing to most makes and models of cars and 4WDs.

Precision Automotive has a clean, modern workshop with the latest diagnostic equipment. We have built a reputation for high quality customer service and workmanship.

We're seeking a fully qualified Automotive Mechanic or a 3rd year Apprentice to join our busy workshop. Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in all types of automotive repair and maintenance, and be able to contribute to being part of a team. If you have a great work ethic and are looking to work in a secure long-term role, then this is the job for you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and repairing various types of vehicles with precision and efficiency.
  • General servicing on light and medium vehicles
  • General mechanical repairs
  • Logbook servicing
  • Complete repairs and tasks in a timely manner, prioritising efficiency without compromising quality
  • Customer communication
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
  • Staying updated with the latest automotive technologies and practices.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Australian residents only – no visa applicants considered.
  • Australian trade qualifications as an Automotive Mechanic.
  • Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of modern automotive technology and systems.
  • Ability to work with various tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Be honest and reliable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety practices.
  • Current manual car driver’s license.
