Our District’s Oral Health (Dental) services are provided to eligible patients at the following locations: Nepean Centre for Oral Health, Blue Mountains Hospital Dental Clinic, Hawkesbury Dental Clinic, and the Lithgow Hospital Dental Clinic. The team offers public dental services including diagnosis, restorative and preventative treatments, pain relief and dentures.

These positions will be based across Nepean Hospital and/or Hawkesbury Hospital Oral Health Clinics.
In this role, you will work closely with Dental Clinicians, providing hands‑on assistance during clinical procedures and ensuring smooth, efficient patient care. You’ll be actively involved in the Primary School Mobile Dental Program, helping bring vital dental services directly to children in their school environment. A strong focus on infection control is central to this position, and you will play a key part in maintaining rigorous hygiene standards throughout the clinic, including the cleaning and upkeep of dental equipment. You will also contribute to oral health promotion activities, supporting education and awareness initiatives that empower individuals and communities to take charge of their dental wellbeing.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated recent and adequate experience in chair side dental assisting with or without Certificate III in dental assisting
- Demonstrated ability to perform effective and efficient infection prevention and control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting
- Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting
- Effective communication written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a large, multidiscipline team environment
- Demonstrated excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills
- Data entry experience and skills
