Coomera State Special School is a Queensland public special school supporting students from Prep to Year 12 with significant intellectual disabilities. Applicants Must Demonstrate

Ability to plan and deliver inclusive, differentiated teaching and learning programs aligned to the Australian Curriculum, including adjusted and alternative pathways, with a focus on students engaging below foundation levelExperience developing and implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) or personalised learning plansStrong capacity to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and familiesAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, teacher aides, and specialist staff

Highly Desirable

Experience teaching in a special school, special education unit, or inclusive education settingExperience supporting students with disability, including intellectual disability, autism, and/or complex needsKnowledge or experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systemsExperience working alongside allied health professionalsWillingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives and improvement agendas
