Love leading with heart? We’re on the lookout for an experienced Facility Manager to head up the amazing team at mecwacare Wahroonga our 90-bed home in Canadian (Ballarat) 3350. 

As Facility Manager, you’ll lead the daily operations of our home, ensuring exceptional care, comfort, and lifestyle for our residents. Reporting to the General Manager of Residential Services, you’ll guide a passionate multidisciplinary team supported by experts in Quality, Learning and Development and P&C. Operate under AN-ACC funding guidelines to drive continuous improvement and make the best use of resources. Together, we create a vibrant, inclusive community where residents feel valued, engaged, and truly at home.

What you bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum 5 years' postgraduate clinical experience in residential aged care, including a clinical management role
  • Advanced clinical expertise with proven experience as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead
  • Previous experience as a Facility Manager or in a similar senior leadership role within aged care
  • Qualification in management, aged care, or a related field
  • Competency to meet the requirements of 'Key Personnel' as outlined in the Aged Care Act
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accreditation Standards, AN-ACC documentation, and the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Strong financial management skills with experience managing budgets, resources, and operational performance
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of teamwork and person-centred care
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement practices and resident lifestyle requirements
  • Strong decision-making ability under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Confident building relationships with residents, families, GPs, and external stakeholders
  • Excellent customer service focus with the ability to operate autonomously and respond to needs systematically
  • Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office suite and iCare
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check (WWCC) certifications

Desirable

  • Experience with Aged Care Quality Review and regulatory audits.
  • Knowledge of dementia and palliative care.
  • Strong project management skills.
