We are now seeking a motivated and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our newly refurbished Sunshine Coast Material Recovery Facility (MRF). As the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll oversee the reliability and performance of all plant machinery by conducting preventative and reactive maintenance, including welding when required during downtime. You’ll also lead a small team and support safe, efficient operations across the facility.
About the role:

Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery, conveyors and equipment (primarily on conveyors)

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults efficiently

Carry out proactive welding tasks during downtime

Proactively identify and implement process and equipment improvements

Lead and mentor a team of two maintenance fitters, plus contractors when required

Follow all safety regulations, report safety hazards, unsafe practices, and near-miss incidents

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and team members
About you:

Previous experience in maintenance fitting within waste management/recycling, FMCG, food production, manufacturing or heavy industrial

Previous experience diagnosing and repairing conveyors will be highly regarded

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (desirable but not mandatory)

Previous leadership experience leading a small or medium sized team

Strong commitment to safety and quality work practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good understanding of MRF equipment and mechanical troubleshooting
