About the role:
Working out of the Mackay branch, you will be required to cut, fabricate, and weld various metals according to the job requirements of Linked Group customers.
You will need to interpret drawings/plans for the required jobs and fabricate/weld according to customers’ specifications. Competence in air arc gouging, MMA, MIG, and TIG welding is essential.
Work must be carried out in accordance with Linked Group Services systems, policies, procedures, and agreements.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Reading blueprints for job specifications.
- Cutting, fabricating, and welding metal/steel.
- Using hand tools and machinery to shape, cut, and weld metal sections.
- Identifying and solving problems promptly.
- Working in an environmentally conscious manner.
- Developing positive relationships with clients and Linked personnel.
- Adhering to WHS policies and procedures
