Your role
As a casual, Therapy Assistant at Therapy Focus you will provide high-quality support to children and adults living with disability in the Bridgetown, Nannup and Manjimup areas. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team based in the Lower Southwest of WA, to identify customers goals as well as develop and implement appropriate strategies to achieve their desired outcome.

What we’re looking for
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are eager to grow their careers, collaborate, and bring fresh ideas to the wider team
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health/Therapy Assistance or equivalent
  • Ability to build rapport easily with people from a culturally diverse background and a personal interest in supporting people with disability and their support network
  • Ideally have experience working under the NDIS framework within the disability support sector
  • Previous experience working with children or people living with disability
  • High level of planning and organisational skills to plan a program of activities within set guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Before commencing, all successful candidates must hold (or be willing to obtain):
  • A current Driver’s License
  • Working with Children Check
  • Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • A valid HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate (with at least six months’ validity remaining)
