Bar Supervisor

Red Lion Hotel – Kilmore

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    •    Supervise daily bar operations and lead the bar team during service

    •    Ensure fast, friendly, and consistent customer service at all times

    •    Train, support, and mentor bar staff, including new starters

    •    Ensure Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is strictly followed

    •    Open and close the bar in line with venue procedures when required

    •    Manage staff breaks and workflow during busy periods

    •    Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally

    •    Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation behind the bar

    •    Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and reduce wastage

    •    Operate POS systems, manage cash handling, and complete end-of-shift reconciliations

    •    Work closely with management and FOH supervisors to ensure smooth service

    •    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing requirements

    •    Lead by example with professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude

Skills & Requirements:

    •    Previous experience in a bar supervisory or senior bartender role

    •    Strong leadership and communication skills

    •    Current RSA (RCG preferred if applicable)

    •    Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

    •    Calm under pressure in a fast-paced pub environment

    •    Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset
