Join our Roads & Drainage Maintenance team and play a key role in delivering high quality drainage maintenance across Golden Plains Shire. As the Team Lead Drainage, you'll lead a small team to carry out programmed and reactive maintenance on a variety of drainage assets including open drains, culverts, and associated infrastructure.Â
This hands-on role involves:
- Operating heavy mobile plant.
- Setting out works with laser levels.Â
- Ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to best practice standards.Â
- Providing day to day direction, mentoring, and support to team members and contractors.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and community focused outcomes.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Good supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of maintenance workers.
- Experience in the provision of maintenance services to local communities.
- A commitment to building a positive and respectful workplace culture.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high quality customer focused outcomes.
- A strong knowledge of OHS practices and a commitment to supporting a culture that promotes safety and wellbeing.
- Ability to identify, discuss and resolve problems through strong communication skills.
Other Requirements
- An Australian heavy vehicle multi combination driver’s licence.
- Maintain a satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
- Employment in this role is conditional on successful completion of an employment medical.
