About the role

Two positions are available to manage the industrial regulation sections of the Environment Protection Authority. The Section Manager (Northern Regulation) is based in Launceston or Devonport (by negotiation) and Section Manager (Southern Regulation) based in Hobart.

The Section Manager will manage the human, physical, financial, and information resources of the respective team.

  • Work with various industries including renewables (windfarms), food processing facilities, manufacturing and mining/ extractive.
  • Implement and manage the statutory system for the regulation of environmentally significant matters and activities.
  • Provide strategic policy and authoritative professional advice on best practice environmental management and regulatory issues.
  • Contribute to business planning, development of procedures, effective management, and future directions of the Branch.

  • Can multitask and achieve results in a changing environment.
