Bejo Australia is part of an international family-owned company headquartered in the Netherlands. At our Richmond farm, just 30 minutes from Hobart, we produce high-quality hybrid carrot, beet, and brassica seeds in collaboration with growers and the community. We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive team member to help us deliver excellence in crop production.

Role Purpose

This role provides end-to-end administrative support for export and import activities, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and smooth coordination with internal teams and external partners. It is well suited to an experienced administrator or executive assistant who enjoys structured processes, detail, and coordination. While this position has been advertised as full-time, we are open to discussing flexible arrangements, including part-time to suit the right candidate. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Export / Import & Planning

  • Liaise with the Seed Logistics team to identify upcoming export requirements

  • Initiate and manage the Request for Permit documents

  • Work with government agencies to ensure import and export compliance

  • Operate and maintain Bejo’s internal systems

  • Coordinate container bookings, trucking, and freight with our logistics and freight company

  • Prepare, review, and manage all import and export documentation

  • Liaise with domestic and international stakeholders to ensure shipments are coordinated and delivered as planned

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across Bejo systems

  • Use Excel for tracking, reporting, and reconciliation

  • Prepare reports, summaries, and correspondence as required

  • Assist with data entry, system updates, and document control

Executive & General Support

  • Provide administrative and executive support to key stakeholders as required

  • Attend after-hours meetings when required

  • Support ad-hoc projects and operational tasks as needed

  • Assisting with H+S administration as required

Skills & Experience

  • Strong administrative or executive administration background

  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Confidence managing documentation and compliance processes

  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities

Export/import experience is not required — full training provided.
