Developer looking for a new HSE Safety Officer to work with the Site Manager our Highrise Projects. We are seeking a motivated professional with experience in Midrise Apartments. This is a Contract role with long-term work in the pipeline that can progress into fulltime for the right candidate. 

• HSE Safety Officer – High Rise Apartment Construction 

• Gold Coast and Brisbane Project Locations 

• Projects typically 14 - 40 stories plus Basement Car Park

HSE Safety Officer to join our Project/Development division. We have developments under construction in Gold Coast and Brisbane and are seeking a capable HSE Safety Officer that can deliver these projects. The business is a well-regarded Builder/Developer that has developed an excellent reputation for high-quality developments and as an excellent employer. 

As the HSE Safety Officer on the project, reporting to the Site Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of all aspects regarding to safety on the construction project. Your duties will include but not be limited to; 

The Role
 

• Ensure WHS processes are carried out effectively

• Coordinate and manage safety related tasks

• Provide support and advice to site teams

• Ensure safety documentation is up to date

• Pre starts, inductions, site walks.

• Risk identification & assessment, ensuring regulations are met

• Carry out health and safety audits and work place inspections

• Training of staff 

Your requirements
 

• Minimum Cert IV in WHS

• 5+ years of HSE experience within commercial construction

• Previous experience working on high rise construction projects valued $50M+

• Experience working for a head contractor is essential

• Be able to develop and maintain relationships

• Have a good understanding of current legislation, regulations & building codes

• Be articulate, well presented and a clear communicator
